Q. How has your role as Additional Representative to the United Nations Geneva Office for WFDP influenced your approach to global education diplomacy?

n Dr. Dinesh Sabnis: “I have had a distinguished career with notable appointments in various international organizations. In 2022, I was appointed as a Peace Envoy at the World Fund for Development & Planning (WFDP), where I played a pivotal role in promoting peace initiatives and fostering collaborations on behalf of the organization. Subsequently, I was appointed as the Additional Representative of the United Nations Geneva Office, which underscored my significant involvement in global diplomatic efforts and United Nations affairs. In this role, I have been instrumental in representing WFDP’s interests and engaging in diplomatic dialogues at bilateral and multilateral levels with various government agencies and non-state actors worldwide.

My main responsibilities have included advocating for WFDP’s mission, advancing sustainable development goals, and fostering partnerships that align with WFDP’s objectives on the global stage. My contributions in these capacities likely involved strategic negotiations, policy advocacy, and collaboration with international stakeholders to address global challenges effectively. Overall, my appointments highlight my expertise in international relations, diplomacy, and my commitment to making meaningful contributions to global development and peace initiatives through my work with WFDP and the United Nations Geneva Office.”

Q.What are the most significant challenges and rewards you’ve encountered in mentoring young Indian peacemakers?

n Dr. Dinesh Sabnis: “In 2022-23, I took proactive steps to foster a deeper understanding among the younger Indian generation about crucial global issues such as International Relations, Geopolitics, Diplomacy, and United Nations Fundamentals. Recognizing the complex and challenging global landscape marked by unrest and its impact on peace and development, I initiated a thought process aimed at equipping young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate these critical topics effectively. The Peacemakers program envisioned by me emerged from my involvement with the UN Peacekeeper Veterans Association, specifically AISP SPIA, which has successfully implemented similar initiatives in countries like Russia, Ukraine, and France. These programs traditionally focus on educating students about the United Nations and topics related to peace, drawing on the experiences and expertise of UN peacekeepers. While I was inspired by these existing efforts, I identified a need for a structured curriculum or framework to guide such educational initiatives. My vision for the Peacemakers program likely involved:

Q. Can you share insights into your work

with the African Diaspora’s Ministry of Sports and its impact on fostering international sports diplomacy?

n Dr. Dinesh Sabnis: “My involvement as a Roving Ambassador with the State of African Diaspora in 2023 highlights my dedication to fostering international relations and collaboration within the African diaspora community. This role involved promoting cultural exchange, advocating for diaspora interests, and strengthening ties between African nations and the global diaspora. Later, due to my experience and interest in the sports field, I was offered the position of Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Sports by the Honorable Prime Minister of the State of African Diaspora (SOAD). This appointment underscored my versatility and leadership in leveraging sports as a platform for diplomacy and national development.

As Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Sports, I have been instrumental in overseeing policy initiatives, strategic planning, and international engagements related to sports. My role includes promoting sports diplomacy, enhancing sports infrastructure, supporting athletes, organizing international sporting events, and working on international collaborations to showcase the nation’s athletic prowess and cultural heritage. I have demonstrated significant achievements in promoting sports diplomacy and enhancing bilateral agreements for the State of African Diaspora across various continents.

My efforts have focused on improving the quality of sports infrastructure and supporting athletes through strategic collaborations with different ministries globally:

n Bilateral Agreements: I have been instrumental in negotiating and establishing bilateral agreements between the State of African Diaspora and other countries’ ministries responsible for sports. These agreements aim to facilitate cooperation in areas such as athlete training, sports development programs, and hosting international sporting events.

n Enhancing Sports Quality: Through these agreements, I have worked to enhance the quality of sports facilities, coaching programs, and sports science initiatives within the State of African Diaspora. This includes initiatives to improve training methodologies, sports medicine facilities, and technological advancements in sports. Athlete Support: I have championed efforts to provide better support systems for athletes, including scholarships, exchange programs, and access to international competitions. These initiatives are designed to nurture talent and provide opportunities for athletes from the State of African Diaspora to excel on the global stage.

n Global Engagement: My work has contributed to increasing the State of African Diaspora’s engagement in international sports networks and organizations. This involvement not only raised the profile of the nation’s athletes but also strengthened diplomatic ties and promoted cultural exchange through sports.

n Impact on Development: My achievements have had a positive impact on the overall

development of sports infrastructure and opportunities within the State of African Diaspora, promoting a healthier lifestyle, national pride, and economic benefits associated with sports tourism and event hosting. My initiatives continue to contribute significantly to the advancement of sports and athletic achievements within the diaspora community and beyond.”

Q.What strategies do you believe are most effective in promoting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in developing countries?

n Dr. Dinesh Sabnis: “I believe promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries requires a multifaceted approach. Strategic diplomacy and robust international relations are crucial for fostering cooperation and securing commitments. Effective facilitation and funding mechanisms ensure that resources are available and efficiently utilized. Tailored sustainable microplanning addresses specific local needs and contexts, making the goals more achievable. Emphasizing monitoring and evaluation helps track progress and make necessary adjustments. Knowledge sharing and capacity

In the ever-evolving landscape of education and professional development, Mr. Anurag Agarwal stands as a paragon of excellence and versatility. A Gold Medalist with over 20 years of extensive experience, Mr. Agarwal seamlessly integrates corporate acumen, academic prowess, and research expertise. Holding a B.Tech and an MBA (Gold Medalist), he is currently advancing his knowledge by pursuing a PhD. Data analytics monitor progress and improve training programs to keep them relevant and effective.”

n Anurag Agarwal: “To enhance the employability of students and professionals in today’s competitive job market, I employ a range of strategic approaches designed to develop both technical and soft skills. Some of them are: Skill Development, Career Guidance and Counseling, ProjectBased Learning, Use of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Design Thinking, Mind Mapping, Networking Opportunities (Industry and Alumni), Mock GD and interviews etc.

Q. Can you share a success story where your training significantly impacted a student’s or professional’s career trajectory?

n Anurag Agarwal: “Mr. Anubhav, one of my students, was working as a mid-career project manager in an MNC (construction company), felt stuck and overlooked for promotions. After enrolling in my soft skills and leadership development program, which included personalized coaching, communication workshops and leadership training, he saw a significant transformation in himself. His enhanced communication and leadership skills led to a promotion to senior project manager within six months. National Board of Vocational Training Education. Q. What inspired you to start NBVTE?

n Rishi Gupta : “Then, one day, I came across an organization that was into franchise business. I found this business quite appealing and decided to start it after conducting thorough research. Thus, I began the National Board of Vocational Training Education and gradually grew my franchise to a national level. Through my hard work and dedication, I achieved a significant milestone in a short span of time.”

Q. How did you scale NBVTE to 800+ branches?

n Rishi Gupta : “To make my business a success, I personally visited the market and met with training centers to offer franchises, but unfortunately, I didn’t achieve the desired results. Personal experiences, including travels and cherished memories, also fuel my creativity, leading to unique and meaningful pieces. Q. How do you balance tradition and modernity in your craftsmanship?

n Mohua Das: “I strive to create jewellery that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity. I achieve this by combining elements from various eras and cultures, such

Q. How did your experience as a journalist and social activist shape your approach to helping over 200 COVID19 patients during the pandemic?

n Dr. Hitesh Sukhadia: “An epidemic called coronavirus spread all over the world which our country was not left out, and the number of coronavirus patients started increasing. As the infection increased, the number of patients in government COVID centres started increasing. Being a journalist, I had to go to the field to cover news during lockdown, so I could go out because of my media pass. Because of this, corona patients used to call me for treatment at government hospitals, as they were not able to afford private hospital treatment. I used to accompany them and try to get them all free treatment at the COVID centres, in which I also got the cooperation of the hospital staff and doctors.”

Q. What motivates you to continuously engage in social work, such as your long-standing free food service for monks and saints?

n Dr. Hitesh Sukhadia: “My motivation for continuously engaging in social work, such as the long-standing free food service for monks and saints, stems from the values instilled in me by my parents and family. They taught me the importance of serving the needy and leading an ideal life. This foundation has always driven me to give back to the community. Additionally, my dear wife's unwavering support and cooperation have been instrumental in sustaining and expanding our social service initiatives. Together, we are committed to making a positive impact and improving the lives of those in need, which brings immense fulfilment and purpose to our lives.”

Q. How has digital media influenced your career and enabled you to make a significant impact during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond?

n Dr. Hitesh Sukhadia: “Due to the coronavirus epidemic, there was a lockdown across the country, and when newspapers were also closed to prevent the spread of the virus, digital news channels were started through social media to deliver daily news to everyone. For the first time, I got the Award of Digital Media-2020 by Working Journalists of India. Due to the commendable service work done during the lockdown, I received lots of Corona Warrior Certificates and Awards from various organizations across the country. Honorary Doctorate from IEMS - Delhi (Institute of Entrepreneur and Management Studies) in consideration of my service activities.”
