Business Spotlight

Find Your Florals at The Flower Theory By Alexandra Sullivan, Resident since 2017

S

ince May of 2017, the first business welcoming visitors to downtown Danville has been Kathy Koutz’s, The Flower Theory. Nestled next to the creek, and across from the high school where all five of her children attended, this flower shop has become a true neighborhood gem. It was when Kathy was learning to navigate life as a single mom that she stepped into that quaint building and was presented with the very unexpected opportunity to take over the lease! A decision made in less than an hour created a whole new world for her, “It’s been the most life changing experience to open my doors and my heart to those customers that walk through it and share their life with me.” Kathy believes that flowers symbolize a level of love that few can express, and she works hard to customize each arrangement to the receiver, so that they get the message loud and clear. The Flower Theory specializes in unique flower arrangements and gifts. Each time you visit, it will be worth it to take a look around, since the collection is always changing. This small shop does it all,

weddings, corporate events, “pop-ups on the go” - where they supply the materials and your guests get to make wreaths, centerpieces, flower crowns, etc. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift, blooms to brighten up your own home, or an experience like no other, call on Kathy at The Flower Theory.
