A poética de um artista deve ser tão diversa quanto são as preocupações que o cercam e as referências pessoais e externas a que ele é constantemente submetido. E a construção de uma linguagem artística se dá justamente neste embate entre aquilo que o artista quer mostrar, mas que segue empregnado por tudo que se apresenta a ele.
A mostra “Padrão e Ruptura”, de Daniel da Hora, traz uma fase muito recente do artista, em que ele nos mostra três caminhos pelos quais vem expressando sua criatividade.
A série “Passed Away: passado destruído” explora o campo das linguagens mistas, com temática mais abstrata e assemblage entre fotografia, pintura e manipulação digital.
A série “Paisagens”, traz obras feitas a partir de gravura em relevo tradicional, onde o artista apresenta seu virtuosismo
nesta técnica clássica, com uma visão sobre campos de plantações vistos de cima, em viagem que o artista fez à Ásia, a partir de uma sintetização e abstração das formas.
Já na série “Flower Power”, o artista traz aquarelas seriadas em FineArt, onde o exercício é explorar a cor das flores, com um recorte mais detalhado e de tonalidades vibrantes, a partir de um acabamento que permite a reprodução.
Romper padrões estabelecidos, tanto no produto artístico quanto para o próprio fazer artístico, tem sido uma tônica na obra de Daniel da Hora e em sua busca por uma poética que não seja definida por um padrão estético, mas, antes, por uma padrão de pesquisa, acúmulo e curiosidade sobre o novo e sobre as coisas do seu tempo.

And the construction of an artistic language takes place precisely in this clash between what the artist wants to show, but which continues to be used by everything that is presented to her / him.
The exhibition “Pattern and Rupture”, by Daniel da Hora, brings a very recent phase of the artist, where he shows us three ways in which he has been expressing his creativity. The “Passed Away: destroyed past” series explores the field of mixed languages, with a more abstract theme and an assemblage between photography, painting and digital manipulation.
The “Landscapes” series brings works made from traditional relief engraving, where the artist presents his virtuosity in this classic technique, with a vision of Asiatic plantation fields seen from above, from a synthesis and abstraction of forms.
In the “Flower Power” series, the artist brings watercolors in special edition in Fine Art, where the exercise is to explore the color of flowers, with a more detailed cut and vibrant tones, from a finish that allows reproduction.
Breaking established patterns, both in the artistic product and in the artistic process itself, has been a keynote in the work of Daniel da Hora, and in his search for a poetics that is not defined by an aesthetic standard, but, rather, by a research standard - as accumulation and curiosity about what is new and about things of our times.

Daniel da Hora
Nascido no Recife (Brasil), é designer, diretor de arte, diretor de criação, consultor de criação, artista visual e professor.
Responsável pelo projeto de design e identidade visual, expografia, montagem e curadoria de inúmeras exposições de arte, design e publicidade, no Brasil e no mundo. Foi o delegado brasileiro no World Heritage Convention 40th Anniversary Meeting, da UNESCO, em Florença e Bagno a Ripolli, 2012.
É artista visual com uma carreira de quase 20 anos, e sua obra tem dialogado com muitos suportes, de uma poética diversa e em vários campos da arte, onde transita por técnicas tradicionais, como o desenho, a gravura e a pintura; mas também traça uma linha de encontro entre o analógico e o digital, produzindo imagens em duas ou três dimensões, e explorando as novas possibilidades de transporte do produto criativo de base digital para o mundo real.
Já participou de exposições coletivas e individuais na Argentina, Brasil, Equador, Inglaterra, França e Estados Unidos. Ganhou o “prêmio aquisição” da Queens Library Gallery em Nova Iorque (EUA - 2004), da Galeria Alicia Brandy em Buenos Aires (ARG - 2005), e da Buzzell Studios Gallery em Sta. Monica (CA / EUA - 2017).

Born in Recife (Brazil), is a designer, art director, creative director, creative consultant, visual artist and professor.
Responsible for the design and visual identity project, expography, assembly and curatorship of numerous art, design and advertising exhibitions, in Brazil and worldwide. He was the Brazilian delegate at the UNESCO World Heritage Convention 40th Anniversary Meeting in Florence and Bagno a Ripolli, 2012.
He is a visual artist with a career spanning almost 20 years, and his work has dialogued with many supports, of a diverse poetics and in various fields of art, where he transits through traditional techniques, such as drawing, engraving and painting; but it also draws a line between the analogue and the digital, producing images in two or three dimensions, and exploring the new possibilities of transporting the digitally based creative product to the real world.
He has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, England, France and the United States. He has gained prominence in exhibitions at Queens Library Gallery in New York (USA-2004), Galeria Alicia Brandy in Buenos Aires (ARG-2005), and Buzzell Studios Gallery in Sta. Monica (CA/USA - 2017).
