Art Boot sales
This year’s Summer of Art will focus on all things digital – how has the world of art changed and developed digitally over the years. A full programme of events will be available shortly from the website so watch this space!
Back by popular demand! Art Boot Sales will be held on the first Sunday of each month over the Summer – 1 June, 6 July, 3 August and 7 September. Sell your artwork from the back of your car. Traders places are limited to 30 and cost £10 each – pre booking advised. Email Anna.Gilroy@discoverhannahs.org to book your place. The events are free to the public.
Residential Workshops We are now running residential workshops at Seale-Hayne. There is a wide choice of workshops ranging from jewellery making to picture framing to papier mache. A range of accommodation is now available so you can book in to several workshops and stay overnight. For more information call 01626 325825.
Lenkiewicz Exhibition The recent Lenkiewicz exhibition ‘Family Matters’ was a stunning private collection of paintings by Robert Lenkiewicz. All the works were owned by Lenkiewicz’s family and the majority had never been seen in public before. The exhibition proved to be hugely popular attracting 6750 visitors and raising £2700 from catalogue sales for Hannahs, kindly sponsored by Bearnes. One of Lenkiewicz’s former pupils, Louise Courtnell, gave a talk and portrait demonstration and over the afternoon produced a fantastic portrait of Pete Reeves, Hannahs Arts Activities Coordinator. All the art exhibitions at Hannahs at SealeHayne play a very important part in raising the profile of and funds for the Trust.

Cockington Court Hannahs and Cockington Court near Torquay have been building up a relationship over the last year. Hannahs artists held an exhibition of their work at Cockington last summer and this summer staff and artists from Hannahs and Cockington will be working on a range of joint initiatives. Hannahs will have a temporary space within one of the studios at Cockington over the coming months.
