Our Mission: Transforming Communities Through Medicine
The DCMS Foundation is dedicated to creating sustainable pathways for youth education, physician expansion, and community development. Our Campaign for the Future represents a bold vision to expand our reach and deepen our impact across the Dallas community. Your support has been invaluable as we move closer to realizing this vision, and we are grateful to the entire DCMS community.
Campaign Goals: Building a Brighter Future
The DCMS Foundation aims to:
• Provide educational programming where K-12 students can interact with DCMS physician volunteers to discover the possibilities of medicine as a professional opportunity and receive mentorship from practicing physicians.
• Digitize and curate the library of medicine and museum containing DCMS medical artifacts and documents that preserve the important history of physicians in Dallas County, while providing a space for learning and growth for practicing and future physicians.
• Provide a physician community hub with the renovation of the DCMS Headquarters in Uptown Dallas to provide a needed space for meeting, networking and planning for a strong future of DCMS and the medical profession.
Campaign for the Future Successes
In January 2024, the newly renovated DCMS Headquarters officially opened. The state-of-theart facility features an executive board room, a multi-purpose community room, a wellness space, a library and museum of medicine, a fully equipped kitchen, and offices. The new headquarters serves as a hub for the future of medicine, empowering us to fulfill the DCMS mission.
Your Support Matters
As we move forward, we aim to:
• Provide educational and enrichment opportunities for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of medicine
• Preserve the history of medicine in Dallas County through the digitization and curation of the DCMS library of medicine and museum
• Provide a physical space for physicians to gather to support the continued growth and support of the field of medicine and the physician community
