Urban Oasis acts as a place of refreshing relief from the restless life of New York City. Its campus-like feel gives the short term resident a space to decompress and enjoy part of the recreational edge of Manhattan. Urban Oasis prioritizes relaxed walking, exercise, and sleep. The sleeping quarters are the primary design factor and are separated from the amenities offered to the general public. Additionally, it is located north of Little Island and south of two recreational piers.

The diving pool located in the back is open to residences only. Provides a view of the New Jersey skyline and a private experience for visitors
The three residential areas: R1, R2, and R3 allow short-term inhabitants to have two types of sleeping experience. R1 and R2 are located on the highest platform of the pier, which allows residents to experience the coldest temperature throughout the pier. R3 is the main sleeping area and is located at the end of the pier. The private experience and white noise sound from the water allow its guests to get the best undisturbed sleep.
The one-component system-built museum functions as a massive light box and comes to life after dusk, casting a stream of light across the desert. The museum offers both a space linked to hope and a space associated to fear. The light box museum seeks to produce a profound and lasting experience by submerging visitors in this emotional duality. The museum transforms into a sanctuary, a place where people can face and resolve their own emotions while finding strength in both hope and fear.
