BEER FARMS AND CATTLE CO, BERNE, INDIANA Beer family: Max and Karen and sons Keith (right) and Craig Calving 175 heifers monthly; SCC under 200,000

“We began the use of Udder Comfort™ after the 2015 World Dairy Expo in Madison last year. The heifers receiving Udder Comfort had a 3 to 4 pound production increase. They also reached peak production faster and had softer, more pliable udders,” reports Keith Beer. Comfort matters at Beer Farms and Cattle Co., Berne, Indiana, where quality fresh heifers are top priority. The Century crop and cattle farm is operated by Max and Karen Beer and sons Keith and Craig. They calve-in approximately 175 heifers per month. They implemented the 7-day fresh routine with Udder Comfort. Using the Udder Comfort Spray Gun, one quick pass under the cow in the parlor twice a day, for the first 7 days after calving, focuses the product application front to rear, along the udder cleft.

“When we use Udder Comfort on the entire group, their collaborative SCC stays below 200,000. “We love cows,” Keith relates. “And we love how easy it is to use the automatic Udder Comfort Spray Gun in the parlor. We will continue to use Udder Comfort in the future.”
