Funeral services for Clydie Eddings, 82, of Corinth, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rest M.B. Church with burial in the Corinth National Cemetery. Mrs. Eddings died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Born September 16, 1930 in McNairy County, she was retired from Plaza Dry Cleaners and a member of St. Rest M.B. Church. Survivors include three children, John C. Eddings, Alma Eddings and Beverly Eddings; siblings, Mildred Dilworth, Elworth Mabry, Dorothy Bower, Pealia Clark, Maxine Gardner, Stanly Mabry, Glorie Surratt and Terry Mann; and grandchildren, Andre Eddings (Talonda), Tanera Chamber, Warren Berry II, Kyla Berry, Adam Berry, Antwan Patterson and Connie Eddings. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Eddings; children, Marilyn Eddings and Linda Berry; her parents, Claude and Everlina; grandparents, Charlie and Pearl Mabry and Benny and Lerora Young; and siblings, Floyd Mabry and Roy D. Mabry. Robert L. Flake, Jr.

Funeral services for Robert L. Flake, Jr. are set for 2 p.m. today at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with burial in Henry Cemetery. Mr. Flake died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born October 16, 1929 to the late Robert L. and Viola Simpson Flake. Mr. Flake had lived on the family farm since 1938. He worked for Sandy Lumber Co. and was a farmer. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a sister, Ruth Flake of Corinth. Rev. Danny Rowland will officiate. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home. Vickie Ann Littlejohn

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — A graveside service for Vickie Ann Littlejohn, 59, is set for noon Tuesday at Center Hill Cemetery in Counce, Tenn.

Mrs. Littlejohn died Friday, August 16, 2013 in Memphis. Born April 30, 1954, she was a retired cashier from Hobby Lobby with many years of service and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two sons, John David Littlejohn, Jr. of Potts Camp and Chris Littlejohn of Southaven; a brother, Albert B. Caston, Jr. of Memphis; and a sister, Billie Ruth Lewis of Byhalia. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Littlejohn, Sr.; and her parents, Albert B. Caston, Sr. and Eva Mae Newman Caston. Bro. Keith Driskell will officiate. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Center Hill Baptist Church. Magnolia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Funeral services for Oscar H. Stewart, 80, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Southwest Christian Church with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr. Stewart died Saturday, August 10, 2013. Born January 30, 1933, he was the chief of campus police at Texas Christian University from June 1978 to August

1995. He earned his BS in Criminal Justice in 1980 and got his Masters in 1983. He retired following 26 years in the U.S. Air Force as Chief Master Sgt. He was a member of Southwest Christian Church in Fort Worth. Survivors include wife, Lizzie Shaw Stewart; children, Linda Stewart Bell of Murphy, Texas, Selena (Stewart) Alexander of Mesquite, Texas, Michelle Stewart Thomas of Monrovia, Cal. and Kimilya Wall of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Kenneth Stewart Wiley of The Woodlands, Texas, Murriel E. Stewart Wiley of Fort Smith, Ark., Kathryn B. Stewart Wiley of Clemson, S.C., Malik Elijah Alexander of Mesquite, Aaron H. Stewart Ball, and Joshua and James Wall of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Murriel Stewart of Corinth; daughter, Ida G. Stewart of The Woodlands, Texas; a son, Anthony Stewart of Kalamazoo, Mich.; his parents, James H. and Ida B. Stewart of Corinth; and brothers, James Stewart of Chicago, Harry Stewart of Knoxville, Tenn. and Bobby Stewart of Corinth. Pastor Brandon Groome will officiate. Arts in McNairy adds ‘LIVE! at the Latta’ series For the Daily Corinthian

SELMER, Tenn. — Arts in McNairy is pleased to announce a new concert series called “LIVE! at The Latta” for the 201314 season. AiM is well-known in the area for its great theater series and concerts that started in 2001. “The ‘LIVE! at the Latta’ series is an addition to the line-up of great theatrical performances AiM patrons have enjoyed for years,” Paige Holmes, AiM managing director said. “A great deal of thoughtful planning went in to this series that features artists who reflect local heritage, something different and high artistic quality.” Season ticket package order forms will be available Friday online at www.artsinmcnairy.com. This year the AiM performance calendar will offer nine shows. The “LIVE! at the Latta” series will be ‘turning up the beat’ exploring different rhythms through percussion and acoustics,” explained Holmes. The “At the Latta” concert series will include four locally known and internationally known artist groups. AiM will present the first concert Oct. 26 with the Memphis group, “South Side Supper Club”.
