Johnny Butler had a tough road the first two races for Post 1 Constable. The Corinth Fireman’s third race wasn’t close. Butler collected 64 percent of the vote on Tuesday night to down Republican candidate Scotty Bradley 3,471-1,437. “I had a wonderful support team,” said Butler. “I ran a campaign on pride, honor and integrity.” Butler and Landon Tucker had two really close races back in August. Butler captured the Democrat Primary by 21 votes before winning the runoff by 33 votes. “We just never gave up,” said Butler. Independent James McA-

nally received 471 votes. In the Post 2 Constable race, Wayne Duncan held on to edge Republican James Bryant 2,248-2,183. “I want to thank everyone for standing behind me,” said Duncan. “I promised the voters that I would be a full-time constable … I am looking forward to January.” Wayne Null collected 584 votes in the race. Veteran judge Steve Little is headed back to his 21st year on the bench. The Independent candidate turned back the bid of Democrat challenger Chris Grisham to earn another term with a 2,176-2,002 victory in the Justice Court Judge Post 1 race. Please see CONSTABLE | 5A
