The Alliance is looking for nominees. Three community volunteers will be recognized with a Spirit of Service Award later in the fall. “The awards have been the primary avenue for The Alliance to recognize volunteers,” said Community Development Director Andrea Rose. “A lot of our programs would not be possible without our volunteers.” Spirit of Service Awards have been presented each year since 1992. SELMER, Tenn. — A foreign mission trip opened the eyes of a McNairy Central High School senior to a huge undertaking. Molly Grace King was inspired to help needy children around the world after returning from Guatemala in July. “Kids will give you all they have over there,” said King. “I knew when I got back from Guatemala, that I wanted to do something to show kids someone cares and they are not alone.” Her high school senior project is giving the 17 year-old the opportunity to pass on hope. King’s goal is to make an impact
