The Mississippi Department of Archives and History gave approval for the Jacinto Foundation to move forward with three requested projects on the courthouse property. The foundation received notification of the approval on Monday. A window, floors, plaster and a tree will be the focus of the work. “Between the three projects,

it will cost somewhere around $13,000,” said Executive Director Beth Whitehurst. “That will pretty much deplete our reserves.” The foundation has to pay for the work initially, and a grant willl reimburse the expenditures later. It was a fabulous night filled with laughter and suspense as family, friends and well wishers gathered at t. feazell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a special send-off Party.

The reigning Mrs. Mississippi America, Chelsey Crum was all smiles as she posed for pictures and signed autographs, pausing to greet guests and accept hugs all the while. As they shopped the latest fashions available at the retail
