Three Alcorn County residents will vie for two open seats on the Alcorn County Electric Power Association Board of Directors next week. All customers and members are welcome to vote in the election set for Tuesday from 10:30 a.m., to 6 p.m., at the ACE office on South Tate Street. Incumbents J.B. Darnell and Mark Gardner will appear on the ticket alongside association member Harrison Childs. Other board members not up for reelection this year include Bobby Roberts, Jerry Brawner and Sam Tull. Each board member holds a
three year term. The board is responsible for reviewing the association’s financials each month, along with approving new contracts and reviewing employee policies. The election will take place during ACE’s annual meeting where the Annual Report from General Manager Jim Nanney will be handed out. The meeting will also act as a time to transact other business. The Crossroads Museum is putting a smile on the face of local shooters and more cash in their pockets by upping the Best of Show monetary award.
