Main Street chief leaves for new job BY ZACK STEEN zsteen@dailycorinthian.com

Brent Johnson is moving on. The Main Street Corinth director’s last day won’t be until mid-July, but resumes are already being accepted for the promotional downtown post. Johnson, who came on board in May 2015, leaves Main Street with a heavy heart.

“My tenure at Main Street has been great, but short. I have made so many great friends that I would not have had a chance to without this position,” said the Corinth native. During his time as director, he has successfully handled multiple events including Slugburger Festival, Hog Wild, Celebrate Corinth, Films on Fillmore, the Christmas

Parade, Holiday Open House and Small Business Saturday. “I have fallen even more in love with Corinth and all it has to offer,” said Johnson, about what he has learned. “I have also been exposed to what our local government and private leaders go through, on a daily basis, to make this community great. Corinth is highly regarded

throughout the state and region as an awesome community with a lot of great things going on, that needs to be stated and not taken for granted.” Johnson has accepted a position with a financial firm, something he actually applied for prior to being hired at Main Street. Please see JOHNSON | 2A
