Cops find pot in traffic stop BY JEBB JOHNSTON jjohnston@dailycorinthian.com

Officers seized about 3 pounds of high-grade marijuana during a bust near Kossuth on Wednesday. Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell are Batramer Bean, 33, of East Second Street, Corinth, and Tramaine Rogers, 31, of County Road 782, Corinth. Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Bean on County Road 533 at the request of the Alcorn Narcotics Unit in connection with an ongoing investigation of drug activity at a nearby residence, according to Narcotics Officer Darrell Hopkins. Detecting the odor of marijuana, officers removed Batramer and passenger Rogers from the vehicle and took them to the

The marijuana has an estimated street value of $3,000. Bond was set at $15,000 for the two men. Hopkins anticipates more arrests in connection with the investigation.
