Principal changes are widespread at all four Alcorn School District campuses prior to the start of the new school year in August. Biggersville High School principal Chad Lindamood is heading across the county to take over principal duties at Alcorn Central Middle School. Current ACMS principal Brian Phelps will take on the duties of intervention specialist and school district grant writer at the district’s central office. Lindamood’s old position as BHS principal will be taken by current BHS assistant principal Pete Seago. Due to no assistant principals on staff on the Biggersville campus, a $2,000 supplement was approved this week for two staffers to act as administrators on duty whenever the princiPlease see PRINCIPALS | 5

FARMINGTON — The City of Farmington will have a new alderman next week. Mac Grisham, who held an at-large alderman seat for more than 11 years, resigned from the board in May. “I’m going to miss Mac – I think everyone on the board and in the office will miss him,” said Mayor Dale Fortenberry. “He’s been on the board since I was first elected mayor in 2005. He’s always been a good official and I wish him the best.” After the board accepted Grisham’s resignation, the city opened the qualifica-
