the Alcorn County Jail pending charges, Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell told the Daily Corinthian. “I can’t release their identity at this time,” said Caldwell. “We do expect charges to be filed in the case.”

Area teachers have a chance to spend several days preparing to put students in touch with local history both inside and outside the classroom. The Corinth School District and Shiloh National Military Park teamed to offer “It’s Not Just a Field Trip,” a free, fourday workshop for teachers. It is scheduled for June 26-29 with a registration deadline of June 9.
“It’s designed to educate teachers on the resources we have here in Corinth and Shiloh — not just the National Park Service,” said Ashley Berry, supervisory park ranger. “We are visiting other sites as well and trying to educate them on the history of these sites and how to plan a field trip to these sites.” With third-grade Corinth Elementary School teacher Please see WORKSHOP | 6A
