A Booneville man on the run from law enforcement for charges of burglary and assault has been arrested and faces numerous charges in multiple jurisdictions for thefts. Police Chief Michael Ramey said Christopher Bryan Blassin-

game, 23, of 111 Brewer Street, Booneville, was wanted on felony charges of burglary, aggravated assault and breaking and entering for breaking into trailers at Spain’s Trailer Park on two different occasions. In one case a shot was fired, but no one was injured. Cash and several credit cards were taken.

While searching for him, the department was notified by the Selmer Police Department that Blassingame was a suspect in the theft of items from their Wal-Mart store. The department was also later notified by Ripley police that Blassingame was connected with the theft of items from the Wal-Mart there.

On Wednesday, May 18, a Highway 145 North resident reported to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department she discovered a man, later identified as Blassingame, in her house. The man fled when the resident screamed. Officers from the sheriff’s department, police department,
