Films on Fillmore returning on Friday

The Corinth Board of Aldermen on Tuesday rejected bids for a large drainage project to move water out of two parts of the city. “There was no way that the engineer felt we could get this project down to be affordable to the city,” said Dave Huwe,

People of the Crossroads Shane Castile, Corinth Corinth native Shane Castile recently joined the staff of the Northeast Regional Library, providing tech support for the Corinth Library and 12 surrounding branches. “I’ve always loved the library,” he said. “I’m really enjoying it. People are really nice. The environment is good to work in.” He spent the past four years doing tech support from home, working remotely. “I was going stir crazy,” he said. With his new job, he has responsibility for about 150 computers among all of the branches. The 1990 Corinth High School graduate earned a degree at the University of North Alabama. He enjoys playing guitar. With wife Mandy, he has two daughters — Charlie, 3, and Mazzie, 7.

The return of Films of Fillmore is set for Friday night. Turnout for the town was fairly light, as it was in many municipalities that had elections on Tuesday, the Secretary of State’s Office reported. The new term of office begins on July 3.
