Police want theft victims to step forward Suspect takes vehicle to sell it, then never returns with car or money BY JEBB JOHNSTON jjohnston@dailycorinthian.com
Police say some local residents who trusted a Tippah County man to sell their vehicles for them were swindled out of both the autos and the proceeds of the sale.
The Corinth Police Department wants to hear from people who may have dealt with him or knows the whereabouts of the vehicles. CPD, Booneville Police Department and the Tippah County Sheriff’s Department all received complaints dur-

A trek north next month will focus on keeping Pickwick Lake trash-free and local volunteers are needed. Keep Corinth-Alcorn Beautiful is teaming up with Tennessee Beautiful and TVA for the Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful tour to help clean up littered sites along the Tennessee River, including Pickwick Lake. The tour will make a stop at Pickwick Lake on Friday, March 11. “We are so excited to partner with the two great organizations for this event,” said Keep Corinth-Alcorn Beautiful Coordinator Andrea Rose. “Many residents from Corinth and Alcorn County enjoy time at the lake and river surrounding Pickwick and now we can help protect it from getting trashy.” The Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful project hopes to engage volunteers along the river by helping to pick up litter along the lake shorelines and debris from the river. “In order for us to continue to enjoy the beauty of the Tennessee River, it is our responsibility to clean and protect it,” said Rose.
