

Starbooks Cafe! The Dual Language Team at Country Meadows organized a Cafe Book Tasting for students featuring books of different genres written in Spanish Students were able to read, discuss with their peers, and rate the books they enjoyed. Great job!

Willow Grove Assistant Principal Megan Payne welcomed a bundle of joy! Weston Steven was born on December 10th at 8.45 lbs and 19 in. Congratulations, Megan!
A new addition to the family of Ivy Hall Special Education Aide Irene Krempley! She welcomed her first grandchild, who was born on Jeju Island in South Korea. Her son and daughter in law are international teachers. Irene says she can’t wait to meet him over spring break when she travels to Jeju. Congratulations!
Willow Grove Occupational Therapist Dr. Moira Bushell earned two awards from the American Occupational Therapy Association which will be bestowed at the national conference in April. Recognized for "Exemplary School Practice and Dedicated Inclusive Leadership", she will be awarded the AOTA Roster of Fellows and Recognition of Achievement The AOTA Roster of Fellows recognizes occupational therapists who through their knowledge, expertise, leadership, advocacy, and/or guidance have made a significant contribution over time to the profession with a measured impact on consumers of occupational therapy services and/or members of the Association The Recognition of Achievement recognizes occupational therapy practitioners who have made notable contributions to the profession and its consumers in a focused area of occupational therapy practice. Reyna Sandoval joined the October Science Job Alike for both middle school and elementary school to teach us about how we all learn language We were reminded that we are all language learners and learned how to be language architects for our students to develop grade level skills in oracy. Coaches Carrie Collins and Katie O'Neill joined the November Science Job Alike for both middle school and elementary school to teach us some tangible strategies to implement as we increase grade level oracy skills (using academic language). We experienced and learned more than 10 strategies! Thanks, Carrie and Katie for teaching us some additional strategies to infuse into our instruction You are both SO knowledgeable!
