LETTER FROM THE LTG WHAT’S POPPIN’ NARWHALS?! I hope everyone has been doing well! Congratulations to everyone for completing their AP exams and finals, and good luck to those of you who still need to take their tests. Make sure you stay tuned because we will have a lot of fun projects and events for you all! With summer break coming up, it is easy to lose focus of service and your goals, so make sure to stay on track and on top of all that you want to achieve. That being said, don’t be afraid to take some breaks, you all deserve it!

Sailing in Service, Mihir Chowdarapu

ARTICLES & VISUALS SSHS’s Meetings! SSHS’s Key Club has had an abundance of activities at each meeting to promote the key club spirit, which is what we feel is lacking right now. Our first official meeting as the new board was held on April 8th, and we decided to do something fun. We split the room into two groups and started playing some pictionary. One volunteer from each side of the room would come up and we’d give them a word to draw. The rest of their team would have to guess the word they were drawing, without any extra clues or words in the drawing. They would have a max of 1 minute to draw the secret word, and once the room guessed what they were drawing, the drawer was rewarded with some candy (mainly twix). As the new board members, we felt as if this game roped in many people to see how much fun Key Club can be, while also accomplishing service hours.

ARTICLES & VISUALS WHS Activities! This week we introduced a new ongoing service project! Teaming with Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels foundation, we wrote cards to children in hospitals. Once again, we encouraged members to sign up for shifts during the moving ventura county day event. Additionally, we announced the upcoming DLT applications opportunity, and sent out a newsletter for those who wanted to to apply for a position. Lastly, we announced the upcoming Key Leader retreat!
