Letter From The Lieutenant Governor
What’s Poppin Narwhals?! I hope all of your summers have been going great so far! The heat is doubling down every day so make sure to stay cool and hydrated. Moving on, I would like to thank you all for attending the our Avengers Assemble August DCM! Throughout your busy schedules and summer break, the fact that you take time for Key Club is always greatly appreciated. There were plenty of great presentations to learn from and I hope you all took something away from each of them.

Now that we are done with OTC, we are hopefully going back to events in person starting with our Avengers Assemble August DCM! Check your emails and the Division Instagram for more details on that but get excited!!
Make sure to mark your calendars for the next big event, RTC or Region Training Conference! We are set to have RTC on September 25th, 2021 but the time and venue is still TBD. Stay tuned for more details. We are also going to be announcing the service project for August very soon so make sure you participate in that to rack up those service hours! With that being said, I hope you all stay safe, get vaccinated as soon as possible, and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hey Narwhals! I hope everyone is doing well and having a great spring semester! Firstly, I want to thank everyone for an amazing January DCM and I truly hope everyone had a wonderful time. If you missed last month’s DCM, look out for this ones! Also, be sure to continuing to rack up those hours this semester! Royal High Key Club Hosts an Interclub! D42E - Royal High Key Club Editor, Ella McCrossan Westlake and Royal High Key club hosted an interclub on December 11th 2021 from 2:00-3:30. During this time, the two clubs created beaded key chains that were later sold to fundraise for UNICEF. These key chains were made with beads and strings to create fun and colorful lizards and snakes. Many members took inspiration from the division’s colors and created the lizards and snakes with blue and purple! There was also an opportunity to create holiday cards for senior citizens who were feeling lonely during the holidays. Around 10 people showed up, but they got a lot done!
Simi Valley High Helps Troops Overseas D42E - Royal High School Key Club Editor, Ella McCrossan Some teachers at Royal High School own a doll named Ricky that has become quite famous on campus. The Instagram account for Ricky posts pictures of the doll’s adventures to 473 followers! One of the owners of Ricky is Royal High School’s Key Club advisor, Mr. Downey. In order to have some fun while also raising some money for Royal High School’s Key Club, the club started selling Ricky stickers! The stickers were being sold for three dollars a piece during the month of December. The club was very excited to be having this fundraiser since Ricky is a very popular topic on campus. We are excited to see what the results of the fundraiser are!
