A great dragon raffle If you’re stuck for a Father’s Day present this year, ‘The Colour City Dragons’ might be able to help you out! By CHRIS BENNETTS The Dragon Boat team are holding a massive Fathers Day Raffle as part of their fundraising efforts for a brand new racing boat. The major prize is a wheelbarrow full of goods donated from local businesses, which includes a tool box from Mitre 10, a watch from Angus and Coote, fishing gear, electrical goods, various vouchers and a load of beer. All up the prize is valued at $1500 and is sure to make any father happy!
A magnificent floor rug from Bel-Air Carpet is also up for grabs as second prize. You will be able to get your raffle tickets for the next 3 Saturdays from the Orange City Centre, where members of The Colour City Dragons will be selling tickets. Gail Wright from the club said it’s been a massive fundraising effort from the club. “The boat will cost close to $10,000 by the time we get it to Orange, so club members have been working hard to raise funds needed to top up the boat fund.”
