Ladies Team form ed t o creat e a hist

oric first for t he club!

Shortly after creating the Roses section, we were approached by a group of ladies wanting to join CVJFCafter seeing everything that we were doing for the creation of a female section at the club. They believed in everything that was talked about and wanted to be onboard with us from the start.

Discussions progressed very quickly, as did their numbers and it was agreed that a taster session for a ladies team would be held. With the team of ladies that were in agreement to join us and the extra ladies that turned up on the evening it was obvious that this was something that could happen.

With the backing of the club MCand the quick work to get the team affiliated, we are now proud to say that for the first time in our history we have an all female squad at Catterick Village!!

The ladies team will play in the Durham County Women's League with games played on Sunday afternoons. This is a huge step for the club but more importantly it provides a pathway to ladies football for the girls in the Village teams and those joining the Roses section.

It also gives the club the chance to invest in some female coaches within the family who can then help progress the Roses section to its full potential.

To think that this all started over a beer only 4 months ago in Spain!!

For details on this new Roses Ladies team, either come down to training 19:30-20:30 at the sports field on Tuesdays, or email rosesladies@cat t erickvillagejfc.net
