RESPECT, ATTITUDE, EFFORT & PRIDE

This quarter has seen the U10s consolidate their development form across their 7 a side football journey, ahead of the the transition to 9 a side football next season. With a packed fixture calendar since the last newsletter, most Saturdays have seen us playing League and Development matches, offering playing time to all players across the squad

The focus has remained on playing with freedom and expressing themselves on the pitch, whilst working within a team formation and structure The quality of football has been outstanding and very enjoyable to watch. The players have shown themselves to be adaptable to a number of formations and positions whilst demonstrating an ever maturing understanding of the game.

Recognising this maturity we have updated the qualities that all players are striving to emulate by introducing a new Trainer of the Week Trophy

The trophy, proudly held below by Stan, is engraved with ?RESPECT, ATTITUDE, EFFORT & PRIDE? .

Through these qualities the players are achieving their potential not only as footballers but as well-rounded individuals too. They all seem highly motivated on a weekly basis and full of pride when awarded the trophy. Well done to all of the players in this regard.

I would like to personally shout out the tireless and unsung efforts of Paul Hanratty over the last 24 months, who has administered the squad, delivered training and fostered our philosophy in all the players do John Drury has, and continues to, bring the fun factor to all of the kid?s football activities which is invaluable and important - we are all here to enjoy our football and have fun after all. Thanks gentlemen, from the whole squad and I!

We are all excited for the transition to U11 and 9 a side football. We plan to use the next few months to train, play friendly matches and tournaments/festivals to expose the players to this new format (including offsides!) and gain valuable experience ahead of the 23/24 season
