With the first phase of the season coming to a close, our U15/16 squad found themselves sat 7th in the league table. Moving into phase 2 of the Harrogate season., the squad have been placed in the B division where they will be able to share the competitive nature that they have developed on a weekly basis against teams of a similar ability. Fixtures go all the way to late May so there is still plenty of football for the boys to enjoy.

An early 5:30am start on Saturday 1st April saw the U15/16 squad, coaching staff and parents set off to Spain for the Costa Daurada Cup. This was a first for the club to attend an International tournament and the boys represented both club and country impeccably. The tournament and the way the whole trip was organised was excellent and the boys did a lot better than we expected. Our aim was to give them a once in a lifetime experience that they could make memories and form lifelong bonds with their team mates The results didn't really matter as we knew we were up against some of the world's top academies and professional clubs, and as long as we showed a good account of ourselves we would be happy.
It turned out better than expected with the boys progressing to the Qtr Finals where they lost to the eventual winners of the tournament. Take a look at the dedicated write up later in this newsletter and keep an eye out for the upcoming souvenir programme that will be released containing match reports, images from the trip and the infamous player bio's.
