FOREWORD
It is a pleasure to present the Spring edition of the Catterick Village Junior Football Club Newsletter. It feels like only moments ago we were publishing the first edition at the start of this year. However, the club has been bold in its ambitions and achieved so much in that time, as you will see in the pages that follow. I am proud of everyone involved with these achievements from across the club: players, guardians, coaches and volunteers from across the local community; my thanks to you all.
I must single out two great achievements for this edition: the U16?s incredible participation in the Costa Daurada Cup (a club first) and the recognition of Bob and Ryan.

You simply must read the features that follow on the Costa Daurada Cup - the U16s have surpassed all expectations and shown what can be achieved through hard work and team spirit. I hope that this will inspire the current younger squads across the club to continue this legacy, to represent the club overseas at U16 level What an experience!
Speaking of legacies, Bob Thornton has been pivotal to the establishment, growth and success of CVJFCfor generations of players and continues to provide time and mentoring to the club?s personnel. It is no understatement to say that Ryan Barker is at the heart of day to day running of the club and offers his time to help coaches, players and parents from across the whole club I am delighted to report that they were both rightly recognised by the FA, through their #ForTheLoveOfTheGame awards, more details of which can be found in the pages that follow CVJFCare proud and fortunate to have them both dedicated to the club?s success
I would like to welcome Babcock as a new club sponsor also, broadening our links with local and national businesses, fundamental to our efforts to modernise and professionalise all aspects of the club, such as uniform Match Day Kits.
