Letter from the Co-Chairs

Dear workshop presenter, We are so grateful for your interest in Chasing Sustainability 2013. Our ability to put on this conference, where we hope perspectives will be changed, is fuelled by your generosity of time and knowledge. In most business schools, emerging leaders are likely concerned about the world but do not know how powerful the shift to environmental sustainability is. Our personal stories that led to this realization, as well as our Co-‐Chair positions, both involve "aha moments" at UBC. These events fundamentally changed our lens of the world and left us with hopes and ideas we could not shake off. These moments are shaped by knowledgeable and passionate business professionals, like you, who took time to talk with students. We still remember each person we meet at business sustainability conferences and their stories of how they struggled within a large company, how they wanted to build something completely new but didn’t know how, or how they were spearheading change. Please explore the contents of this Welcome Package and let us know if you feel prepared and comfortable – our contact information is at the end of this package. We are very excited to welcome you as a workshop presenter for Chasing Sustainability 2013. Thank you once more for your time and expertise! Sincerely, Connie Chen Khanh Nguyen
