Training Council History
Allison provided the NYC Training Council history, mission, and vision.
The NYC Training Council was started in 2013, by founders:
Debra Palmieri Russo, former Chief Learning Officer at DOB and Julie Weisessner, former Training Director at DOT

Kerry-Ann provided the NYC Training Council 2024 highlights which included the announcement of the Executive Board, unveiling of the new logo, and training assessment group sessions.

Cybersecurity Training Overview
Carolina presented on the opportunities that City learning & development professionals have to measurably mitigate human risk at their agencies.

CUNY SPS Academic Programs
Dawn provided an overview of the school's academic programs, highlighting their 26 undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs, as well as Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) opportunities. www.sps.cuny.edu

Future of the Council & 2025 Agenda
Tanja facilitated the 2025 Brainstorming for the Future discussion. The group formed a think tank to discuss questions such as: Are there particular areas where the Council could be of assistance (either on a macro or micro level)?
What cross-agency best practices, tools and/or resources would be helpful to share among the group?

Over 20 agencies were represented at this meeting.
