Spotlight on Men & Gender Equality 3 credits | $45 Jackson Katz, PhD Kane Smego This program will challenge participants to conceptualize new ways for men to actively participate in movements traditionally viewed as being rooted in “women’s issues”. Participants will be challenged to understand the ways in which men can and should take an active role in promoting gender equality through collaboration, advocacy, education, and role modeling. Speakers will discuss strategies for men to work alongside women to change social norms that allow sexist and abusive behaviors to continue. This workshop will also pay particular attention to the role of men in preventing sexual harassment and violence against women.
