TAG promotes best-practices in traumainformed, gender-responsive behavioral healthcare in Connecticut by providing training, consultation, technical support, and information to agencies across the state. Initially, agencies participated in a TAG Cohort to enhance their organizational trauma and gender competency. Currently, we offer a component of the TAG Initiative called the Creating Cultures of Trauma-Informed and Gender-Responsive Care Fidelity Review, a tool that assesses an organization’s culture and care practices align with traumainformed and gender-responsive principles.
A partnership between us, the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), and women’s specialty service providers that provides expert panels and presenters focused on improving behavioral health services for women
The Creating Cultures of Trauma-Informed and Gender-Responsive Care Fidelity Review is a valuable tool for agencies to assess how effectively they have developed a culture of trauma-informed, gender-responsive care. As a first step toward improving care standards, the Fidelity Review provides a baseline assessment that agencies can use to guide future improvements.
