SCHOOL SUPPORT SERVICES TRAINING We provide trauma-focused solutions for school social workers, counselors, and psychiatrists, including tailored trainings, on-demand options, and custom professional development opportunities to help you integrate trauma-informed, gender-responsive principles into school support services.

CERTIFICATION TYPES All of our trainings are open to everyone and are approved for continuing education credit (CEC) by the CT Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW/CT) and the CT Certification Board (CCB-CT).

NASW-CT credits apply to the following license types: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) Certified school social workers in CT holding a professional educator certificate can use our courses as CEUs to meet the LMSW and LCSW requirements.

Even if you don’t hold a behavioral health certification, our courses offer valuable educational opportunities for all professionals looking to enhance their skill set!

The Relationship of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to Adult Wellbeing This workshop teaches the findings of the original ACE study and explores the longterm impact of traumatic childhood experiences on adult health and well-being.

Teen Suicide and Self-Harm

This workshop addresses adolescent suicide risk, exploring developmental factors, warning signs, and practical interventions.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of teen emotional development and strategies to support at-risk youth.

All in the Family: Adolescents & Substance Use Disorders

This workshop covers adolescent development, substance use disorders, and treatment, focusing on co-occurring mental health and opioid-use disorders. Participants will learn about substance use demographics, DSM criteria, screening tools, and Medication-Assisted Treatment, with an emphasis on assessing co-occurring mental health conditions.

Mindfulness for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma Learn age-appropriate mindfulness techniques to help children and adolescents regulate emotions, improve decision-making, and understand how trauma impacts the brain.

Attachment and Trauma Explore how attachment theory informs treatment for traumatic stress, focusing on attachment dynamics, emotional regulation, and building therapeutic alliances.

Trauma in Children and Adolescents: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Options Dive into the impact of childhood trauma, common symptoms, and ways to create a safe, supportive space.
