HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT :
The planning, organizing and coordinating of business operations in the health care system. Positions in this career path often are administrators of hospitals, clinics, health insurers or public health systems.
THE MAJOR PROGRAM IS COMPRISED OF A BUSINESS CORE, HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT CORE AND THEN ELECTIVES FROM A NUMBER OF BUSINESS DISCIPLINES.
Earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in Health Care Management demonstrates that you have a well-rounded understanding of business principles in hospital systems and other health care settings and how to manage them efficiently. The program focuses on developing value-added skills for health-related professions through exposing students to a wide range of subjects emphasizing leadership, team building, performance management and ethics.

Health Care Administrators are in high demand with a job growth outlook of 28%. If you want to work in a health care environment, but are interested in business, then a Health Care Management major can provide you with a solid foundation to oversee business principles in health care settings. This foundation develops skills such as organizing and financing health care services and working alongside physicians and clinicians to support patient care.
