The Warner College of Natural Resources offers distance learning and online education programs to help advance your education and career, fulfilling your goals for making a positive impact in the world.

The grand environmental challenges of our time, including climate change and loss of species and wildlife habitat, must be met with a critical mass of dedicated, well-trained individuals who can work at all levels – from science and research to advocacy and policy. It is incumbent on our programs to bring the knowledge and interdisciplinary skills to address these problems, not only in Colorado and nationally, but also across the world. Our purpose is to reach as many people as possible, from any and every walk of life, to collectively tackle global challenges.

Gain a better understanding of how to manage and conserve our natural resources in new and exciting ways as you build skills to support a fulfilling career in high-demand fields, including: forestry, wildlife management, geosciences, ecosystem sustainability, ecological ranch management, and the globally significant ecotourism industry.

Our graduates are in high demand across public, private, and nongovernmental sectors and make impacts in numerous environmental science and policy fields.

CSU’s online programs are taught by world-renowned instructors, researchers, and managers, most of which also teach on campus in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are proud that our scientists are at the forefront of building knowledge about Earth systems and how humans interface with these systems in dynamic and significant ways. Their work is highly applied and aimed at identifying solutions to real-world challenges and leveraging human connections to the natural world in positive ways.
