CAMP ADVENTURE Our full day camp, “Camp Adventure” is a great way for your child to have fun and meet new friends this summer!

Your child will experience camp with peers of the same age group where they will discover a variety of activities - they are certain to have a great experience at Camp Adventure this year!

Camp Adventure fills up fast and in previous years, several weeks have sold out, so you’ll want to get your child registered soon so they don’t miss out. Every week will be packed with adventure, excitement and surprises.

Each week we will bring the fun to them! We have scheduled many experts in their field to come offer your child a lasting summer camp experience!

We allow 5 year olds in our day camp as long as they have completed kindergarten. No exceptions.

FEES $135/week

Includes all administration fees, a camp t-shirt, on site activities and Before & After Care. A $1 per minute late fee will apply if pick-up is after 6pm or after 5:30 pm beginning 8/10/20.

Fees for Weeks 11 & 12 must be paid in full at the time of registration.

HALF DAY CAMPS

Specialty Camps Baseball CAMP

With a fun and positive environment, your child will learn all basic facets of America's pastime, with an emphasis on proper fundamentals, teamwork & sportsmanship. Basic conditioning and proper stretching will be introduced as well. A baseball game will be played daily. Each session will be capped at 40 campers so players can get the most from each week. Coach Felce played with the Atlanta Braves, in college at USF and has many years of coaching experience at all levels. Your child will learn from a professional! Multi-Sports Camp This camp is designed for the child who wants to learn and explore all kinds of sports and sport-related games! This fun and energetic camp will have your child learning the ins, outs and tricks of several popular sports and some that aren’t so well-known. From kickball to baseball, football, soccer and more - experience the full roster of all things sports!

Dodgeball CAMP Campers will focus on the fun of the sport, rather than competitiveness. They'll work on developing skills like throwing, catching and teamwork and put those skills into action while playing in one of our patented mobile dodgeball arenas. We'll also play games like Gaga Ball and 9 Square in the Air. Each camper will receive a water bottle.

Now is your chance to work with an Olympic tennis coach and learn about the game or improve your skills. Camps are designed to enhance a player’s progression.

Beginning players will learn forehand, backhand and serve. All children will play and learn through fun games and drills.

A NOTE FROM TBUR SOCCER (7/6/20)

TBUR Soccer Camp Series has made the difficult decision to cancel all our camps out of our Ed Radice and Palm Harbor Campuses for the rest of summer 2020. As you know, the Covid-19 pandemic has had an extensive impact on our world and our Tampa Bay Community. The TBUR Soccer Camp Staff have been hard at work carefully reviewing the public health recommendations from the CDC and the State of Florida. Given the nature of camp and the increase of Covid-19 cases throughout our community, our staff, and the families which we send them home. Full refunds will be applied back to your credit accounts. Our club administrator Trish McCarron will start the process and we will look to get everyone’s refunds out in a timely manner.

Little Techs Camp Kids will have a blast while boosting their academic skills at the same time! Your Little Techs will perform cool science experiments, work on creative engineering projects, tackle higher-level thinking challenges and have tons of fun while learning! WEEKLY CAMP THEMES > Week # 1: Harry Potter: Taste of Magic. From butterbeer pancakes to double chocolate cauldron cake, campers will enjoy Hogwarts culinary delights!

> Week #2: A Dish of Disney. Campers will cook, eat and have fun with Disney themes, food and movies.

> Week #3: A Plate of Pixar. Enjoy making and eating foods mentioned in films like Ratatouille. Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and others. > Week #4: Celebrity Chefs. TV Network Celebrity Chefs like Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, Gordon Ramsey, Giada DeLaurentis and Ree Drummond all have their signature dishes. We'll recreate those dishes and learn how these TV Chefs became stars! > Week #5: Pizza Mania. Pizzas 'Round the World, at least 2 different pizzas each day! MAD MACHINES & ENGINEERING MANIA  Available Week 4 Discover simple and complex machines and how we use them. Build your own catapults and launch ping-pong balls! Design simple machines using pulleys, wedges, screws and levers and then use them to feed yourself! As junior engineers, you will design and build bridges and skyscrapers using simple tools and construct a geodesic dome big enough for all to sit inside!

CRAYOLA®: WORLD OF DESIGN  Available Week 5 Take a journey to the farthest reaches of the imagination while learning about the rain forest, Hollywood, the ocean, Mars, and a futuristic city! Use the design thinking process to solve real-world problems in these different environments. Experiment with art techniques like sculpting, collage and mixed media. Discover design careers including graphic design, fashion design, board game design and architectural & urban design. (Additional $10 supplies fee) SPACE, SPORTS & SPIES  Available Week 6 Discover how to be a spy and decipher codes using espionage secrets and learn different ways to send messages, including Morse code. Jump right into the science of athletics and test what your toes have to do with tennis and what your feet have to do with football and test your lung capacity and crash eggs. Blast off launching all types of rockets including engine, air and water powered ones. CRAZY CHEMWORKS  Available Week 7 Delve into the world of atoms, molecules and chemical reactions. From the super tiny to the super slimey, this fun, hands-on program sends campers on a fascinating journey of exploration and discovery! Get introduced to lab equipment, discover how and why things glow, and investigate the science of stickey-ness. Lots of cool daily take homes to stock your new home lab.

SECRET AGENT LAB: FUNKY FORENSICS  Available Week 10 We'll use science to help solve a real crime and track down suspects. Use skills of recall and observation, take a closer look at evidence with forensics, decode messages and find out how spies work undercover. Battling crime has never been so fun!

Little Ballerinas Camp This fun camp will have your independent dancer learning the basics of ballet, which serves as a base for many other dance types. They'll learn French dance terminology as well as proper stretching. A craft and light snack will be offered each day.

One of Palm Harbor’s most unique camps, your child will become part of the crew of a small fishing charter boat! As your child enjoys the waters of Pinellas, they will learn all about their surroundings, fishing techniques and fish identification.

Each boat is led by a United States Coast Guard approved Fishing Charter Captain, who is fully insured and background screened by the Florida Department of Children & Families.

If your child has a tendency to get motion sickness, we suggest our “land fishing” camp.

Campers who do get “sea sick” will have to be returned to shore and picked-up promptly.

Ages: 8-15 Schedule: Monday - Wednesday, 8:15AM - 12PM Fees: $285 Weeks Available: 1, 5, 8 Camp Instructor: Captain Christian Zarra Location: Ozona Fish Camp (286 Shore Drive) What To Bring? Campers should wear water-appropriate clothing and flip-flops or water shoes. Hats, water, light snacks and sunscreen are needed each day. Your child will be loaned a fishing pole to use during camp.

Please arrive early for check-in (no later than 8:15 AM). Boats depart promptly at 8:30AM and will not wait for campers not in attendance; attendance and, no refunds will be issued for late campers who miss a day.

Land Fishing Camp

Learn about the Dean Parks Memorial Scholarship (Page 13)

Captain Dave Blanchard leads this fun, dock-side camp program as we explore the Florida nature at Pop Stansell Park. Each child will learn the basics of fishing, including how to bait a hook, tie knots and the proper fishing techniques. Each child will be provided with their own fishing pole to be utilized during camp times and take with them when camp is over!

Boat Fishing Camp

Kayaking Camp Taking advantage of the beautiful Florida waters, Kayaking Camp is certain to make your camper ask for more and appreciate the nature that is Florida. This camp is one of our more popular offerings. Your child will learn boating safety and all about Florida’s nature features from Pop Stansell Park Space is limited due to safety restrictions. Advance registration is required.

Osprey Bay Outdoors is a recognized leader in water activities and is accredited by the American Canoe Association..

Tae Kwon Do Camp Tae Kwon Do is a great martial art that teaches self defense, sportsmanship, and discipline. Our instructor has years of experience and is a fifth-degree international black belt. This camp is for both the beginner and the advanced learner looking to sharpen their skills. No uniform is needed.

Gymnastics Camp This recreational program is based on the developmental curriculum of the USA Gymnastics Program. Each session is designed to meet the developmental needs of your child. Your child will be challenged in a safe, structured, educational environment learning gymnastics skills that will carry them through life. Elena and Maria Harabagiu have more than 40 years of experience in gymnastics, they are members of USAG and have a Certificate in Safety and Risk Management. The coaches have a strong Romanian background in gymnastics so your child is sure to learn from the best!

Junior Counselor Program Our Junior Counselor (JC) program focuses on developing leadership skills in teens age 13-17 through working hand-in-hand with our summer camp administrative team. JCs are an integral part of our programming and assist in all aspects of summer camp program planning and administration. This program is perfect for those seeking Bright Futures hours, too!

The Junior Counselor program is for interested teens that want to take part in our summer activities and be the “helping hands” in a day camp setting. JCs will have various duties in the camp program such as: setting up rooms for the day, preparing crafts, leading games and sports, being an active member of the Camp Adventure Team and much more.

There is no cost to participate in this program; however, interested teens must submit the following information to be considered, as this is a competitive program and spaces are limited. JCs are asked to commit to five (5) of the ten (10) weeks of summer camp. They will be scheduled for four (4) hour shifts.

To get started, complete a “Junior Counselor Program” application, available online, and return it to the indicated address as soon as possible.

Applications consist of: 1. the program application 2. a copy of your latest progress report or report card Teens selected for the program will complete a series of interviews and training prior to the start of summer.

SCHOLARSHIPS DEAN PARKS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP In honor of Captain Dean Parks, who was an instrumental part of our fishing camps at CSA, we are pleased to offer a limited number scholarships specifically for fishing camps. The scholarship is available for either type of fishing camp, boat or land (see Page 11).

CAMP ADVENTURE SCHOLARSHIPS CSA Palm Harbor has a limited amount of available funding to provide scholarships for weekly Camp Adventure registration fees. Scholarships are available to children who without financial assistance would otherwise be unable to participate in Summer Camp.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION. Registration for all camp programs is done on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have an online registration system (DASH), located at www.PalmHarborCamps.com. Online registration is available 24/7 and payment can be made using any major credit card at time of registration. Registration can also be done in person at The Centre located at 1500 16th Street in Palm Harbor. Registration hours are Monday-Thursday 8AM to 7PM and Friday 8AM to 4PM.

PAYMENT POLICY. No child will be allowed to participate in camp until the weekly balance due is paid in full.

CSA offers a limited amount of scholarships based on need; see Page 13 for more information.

J U S T T H E FAC T S

The Fine Print

Camp Adventure’s Payment Policy: You will be required to pay for ALL weeks for which you have registered your child for camp (whether or not they actually attend). For Weeks 1-10, all camp registrations not paid in full at time of registration are required to be set up on an ACH payment plan which will be available through the CSA registration system (DASH). If you register for more than one (1) week, a deposit equal to one week’s camp fee ($135) will be required at the time of registration. Once registered, your remaining balance will be placed on an ACH payment plan beginning 5/25/20. You may login into your account at that time and see your payment plan for the camp season. Beginning Monday 5/25/20, payments will be withdrawn every Monday for the next camp week. Your child’s last week of camp will determine your last payment date. The registration system will automatically allocate your payments spread across the total 10 weeks of camp. If your last week of camp is prior to week 10, (i.e. week 7) adjustments will be applied, your payment plan will be updated in the system and you will be notified of new allocations. NOTE: The Sibling Discounts apply but cannot be applied online; you must come in or call to register. All registrations for Weeks 11-12 must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Specialty Camps Payment Policy: Full payment is due at the time of registration to secure your child's space.

SPECIALTY CAMPS & CAMP ADVENTURE ADD-ON. Fee(s), locations and times vary by Specialty Camp. Due to adjustments required by COVID19, the add-on of Camp Adventure to Specialty Camps is not available for Weeks 1-10 of the 2020 camp season. Camp Adventure Add-On is available for Weeks 11-12; please call to register.

CAMPER INFORMATION. You must e-sign a waiver upon registration. No child will be admitted to camp

without the waiver being signed. Camper emergency information is also collected at the time of registration.

Be sure to complete all the requested information, including emergency contacts, pick up information, allergies, etc. This information is required for your camper’s participation in our camps.

REFUNDS AND CHANGES. Payments are due for ALL weeks for which you sign your child up (whether they

actually attend or not). Refunds or pro-rated rates are not given for days missed. Full refunds are available for emergencies only (severe illnesses, death in the family, etc.) and must be requested in writing. Scheduling conflicts do not qualify as an emergency. Changes and cancellation are considered on case-by-case basis. A $20 administration fee applies to all changes and refunds granted and documentation may be required.

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA. As a public entity, we regularly take photos and videos of our programs. Media may be used for future print, web or video advertising, as well as social media, but will never be shared or sold to a commercial entity.

PUBLIC RECORDS. As per Florida Statute 119, all correspondence to/from the Palm Harbor Community Services Agency is considered a public record and may be released as allowed by law.

CODE OF CONDUCT. All campers are required to remain respectful of their Camp Counselors and facilities. If

a child’s behavior becomes unruly or is a disruption to participation, a parent/guardian will be contacted to pick-up the child immediately. Repeated unruly behavior will result in suspension or termination of program participation, without refund.

CELL PHONE & ELECTRONICS. Personal electronics include: cell phone, iPad, tablets, Nintendo DS, etc. No

electronics are allowed at Camp except for cell phones; but they MUST be kept with the camper's belongings.

During camp hours, campers are NOT allowed to use their cell phone and parents must call the Camp office to reach their camper. Cell phones will be taken away and kept in the camp office if this policy is violated and will be returned to parents at pick-up time.
