Combinations at the barre are designed to be faster and more challenging mentally. After a complete barre, the class will work on repertory dance workshop.

CHILDREN’S DANCE Dancers are placed in classes according to age, maturity and technical level. Combination classes are appropriate for new students or as a natural progression through the curriculum. Pre-Ballet

The Centre | Wednesday 4:30 -5:15 pm, Thursday 5:15 - 6 pm Ages 3-4 | $40 monthly Dancers will learn easy tumbling exercises, basic ballet steps and terms, fun tap rhythms and classroom etiquette. The teacher uses creative expression to convey dance terms and command attention. > REQUIRED ATTIRE: Girls: leotard, tights, pink Bloch ballet shoes, black “Mary Jane” tap shoes, a dance bag, and hair pulled back. Boys: dance pants/shorts, comfortable shirt, black ballet shoes, tap shoe.

Ballet/Tap (Combination I & II)

The Centre | Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 pm | Ages 5-7 | $40 monthly Body control and flexibility are established with Ballet movement and floor exercises. Tap skills and vocabulary are learned in the second half of this class using balance, rhythm, sound and basic tap patterns

Classical Ballet/Tap/Jazz

The Centre | Thursday 6 - 7:30 pm | Ages 9+ You choose the number of classes monthly: Pick 2, $40/month or Pick 3, $50/month (per child, per month).

Ballet offers grace, flexibility and discipline. Through a wellstructured Ballet curriculum, students will learn proper technique, alignment and vocabulary. They’ll gain flexibility, balance and body control with barre work, across the floor combinations, and center floor work.

Jazz begins with a center floor warm-up, continues with isolations, and ends with across the floor exercises and contemporary combinations. These classes will combine hip-hop, fast paced funk, classical jazz and lyrical movements for a wellrounded jazz dancer.

Meet Miss Cristina Miss Christina has decades of dance training from multiple studios and her training is extensive in modern, ballet, jazz, tap, choreography, and she enjoys teaching all styles to all ages.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University.

‘‘The END OF YEAR RECITAL ON JUNE 3, 2022 will feature dances from each class and showcase the work the students have learned throughout the year. The show will have a theme, costumes and performed on stage. Details to follow as the year progresses’’ January - May 2022

The Palm Harbor Community Services Agency, Inc. (PHCSA, pronounced as “FIX-SA”) is the agency that has supervision of Leisure and Recreational services in Unincorporated Palm Harbor. CSA Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation, East Lake Recreation, the Palm Harbor Library, and the East Lake Community library are all part of the PHCSA network.

PHCSA was created in 1985 to provide library and recreation services to the residents of the Palm Harbor Community Services District. Collection of ad valorem dollars (.5 mills) was voted and approved on by the residents of Palm Harbor to provide recreation and library services locally.

Each organization also generates income independently through rentals, program fees and fundraising efforts. That is how they continue to provide exceptional services to the residents in Palm Harbor year after year.

The directors of each of the organizations in the network report to PHCSA, who has overall responsibility and financial oversight. All four entities also have Advisory Boards, comprised of local residents and specific user groups representatives who utilize the local facilities managed by PHCSA organizations. The Advisory Boards are all non-governing but provide guidance and input to PHCSA, the organizations and the community at large.
