ABOUT THE PROJECT

HISTORY OF THE TRANSAMERICA CENTER

The Trans America Center, originally the Occidental Life Center was built in 1965 and designed by master builder William Pereira. Pereira's participation in this design makes this center eligible for nomination to the historic inventory however it has not yet been nominated. Key feature of this design include the louver face system and the glass restaurant crowning the tower.
