FEBRUARY Week starting Sunday 4 February Pray that as students settle into the new school year they would be eager to join their school's CRU Group and that God would be sustaining the Schools Ministry team. Give thanks for the five CRU Educational Camps running this week. Ask that God would open the students’ hearts to hear His word. Please also be praying for the new intake of Summit trainees as they settle into the Summit Program. Week starting Sunday 11 February Pray for the CRU Annual General Meeting and Board Meeting happening this week, that God would provide wisdom to those who are making decisions and plans for the future. Praise God for the five CRU Educational Camps at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the students would learn more from God’s Word and enjoy the time away from their usual routines. Please also pray that God would provide enthusiastic and faithful people to join CRU this year wherever there is a need. Week starting Sunday 18 February Please pray for the CRU Holiday Camps Committee as they meet this week, that God would be guiding their conversations as they continue to discuss how to deliver great camps for children whilst supporting volunteer leaders. Pray also for the five CRU Educational Camps running at Lake Mac and one running at Galston this week. Give thanks for the partnerships that CRU has with various schools across Sydney so that students have the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Week starting Sunday 25 February Praise God for the people he has brought into CRU to be a part of the Summit team, ask that He would powerfully sustain them and shape their lives for his purposes each day. Please be praying for the CRU Educational Camps running this week: four at Lake Mac and one at Galston. Pray for safety, that students would build good relationships and that God would be opening their hearts to hear about His goodness and promises.
MARCH Week starting Sunday 3 March Thank God for the first two Followers in Training (FIT) events running this week at Trinity Preparatory School and William Carey Christian School. Pray that these events would be a great opportunity for students in Years 5 and 6 to connect with other students and learn practical skills about following and serving Jesus. Week starting Sunday 10 March Pray for the CRU Board Meeting this week, that God would provide wisdom and clarity as they reflect on CRU's goals and plans for the future. Praise God for the two FIT events running this week at Hunter Christian School and The Scots College. Pray that these events would run smoothly and that the students would leave feeling equipped to share the gospel at school. Week starting Sunday 17 March Pray for good fellowship at the CRU Holiday Camps Committee Dinner, as future plans are discussed. We expect that over 300 guests will attend the CRU Business Lunch at Parliament House this Friday. Pray that guests will be encouraged as they hear how God has been powerfully working through CRU's programs to encourage, equip and support young people to follow Jesus. Please pray that guests will give generously to support this vital work. Pray too for the FIT events running at Roseville College and Calderwood Christian School this week. Week starting Sunday 24 March In the lead up to Easter, thank God for His goodness and mercy shown to us through the sacrifice of His precious son Jesus. Pray for the FIT event at Broughton Anglican College this week, that the students attending would learn more about God and how to serve Him well at school. Week starting Sunday 31 March Pray for the CRU West team in Western Australia as they run CrossTrain and CRU Quest this week, that both camps would be a great time of encouragement for the campers attending. Pray also for the FIT event at Norwest Christian College in Sydney, that the students attending would be eager to learn more about God’s Word.
APRIL Week starting Sunday 7 April Praise God for CRU Educational Camps and the provision of Summit trainees who make camps throughout the year possible. Pray for the two camps running at Galston and the three camps running at Lake Mac this week that they would be an enjoyable experience for students and teachers. Ask that God would be working through the CRU Educational Camps team to share the gospel faithfully with the students. Week starting Sunday 14 April Praise God for CRU Holiday Camps and our volunteer leaders who serve Him in this way, particularly as the autumn season begins this week. Pray for the campers attending Autumn Study 1, Brightwaters, Pumped and CRU Pulse Day Camp, that they would enjoy camp, make new friends and learn more from God’s Word. Ask that God would be filling the volunteer leaders with energy as they minister to the children throughout these camps. Week starting Sunday 21 April Thank God for the first week of autumn holiday camps and for the campers that attended and had the opportunity to hear from His Word. Please be praying for the second week of camps which include Club Mac, Aussie Adventure, Autumn Study 2 and Autumn Adventure, that these would be full of fun and fruitful discussions about what God has done for us through Jesus. Week starting Sunday 28 April Praise God for all the work that He has done and continues to do through CRU’s ministries. Please be praying for the CRU Board as they meet this week, that they would be able to take the time to reflect on CRU’s ministries and the fruit that has come from them. Pray that the CRU Board would be making godly decisions so that CRU can continue to share the good news of Jesus with a new generation.
