SLOW-PACED RETURN The current corona situation has placed everyone at a crossroads and, unfortunately, autonomous driving or GPS can’t be used to find the best route.

The good news is that, at Critical TechWorks, everyone is gradually getting back to the office. This slow-paced return requires clear rules in order to make sure everyone is safe and sound during their commute and their working hours at the workplace. The situation is not ideal, but for now, it’s as close as anyone can get to the good old days.

Lady Stronghold, from the royal family of facility management, said something about the things she’s been doing to ensure that the workplaces at the office are virus-free. Nevertheless, just like the Queens of Hearts said, Joana Magalhães also pointed out that if anyone fails to comply with best practices and wanders into the office without proper care, the virus mitigation strategies will be ineffective.

Other than wearing a mask at all times, except when you’re eating or drinking, washing both hands regularly and making sure that every workspace is disinfected after being used, the Stronghold managers will also make sure that the maintenance professionals clean the office more often, using products that effectively eliminate the virus and that are approved by the health authorities, something that will be especially taken into account in the areas most used.

Moreover, although unneeded furniture will be stored elsewhere to make more room, the layout of both offices will remain the same, but people will have to comply with the two-metre distance rule, which might mean that no one will be able to work at their usual workstation. Of course, there’s no need to take a measuring tape to the office to assure the distance, but leaving one table free between every colleague will be enough.

Furthermore, to ensure there are no unnecessary gatherings, people can schedule their presence in the office.
