The Soldaderas joined the soldiers of the Mexican Revolution – some in their traditional domestic roles; keeping camp, nursing and cooking with food bought from the soldiers’ pay. Others took up arms. Here are a few of them, many of whom richly deserve their legendary status in the history of the Revolution.
