Medline Employee Appreciation Week

BACKGROUND

Creative was approached by Medline to streamline their employee appreciation week gifting program. Medline, a leader in manufacturing and distribution of medical supplies, has experienced over 50+ years of annual growth with a growing brand footprint to match. Their partnership with Creative started with ad hoc ordering and has expanded to ecommerce projects.

THE CREATIVE SOLUTION

With moving parts both on the ecommerce and the product side communication was pivotal for execution. The teams held weekly meetings covering features, item options - including dozens of style and color options, sampling, order and logistics process, etc. In the period leading up to Appreciation Week, Creative built an on-site product display in the corporate o ce for employees to touch and feel selected products. Web store launched on client’s dictated date and remained live for ordering for a 1-month period prior Appreciation Week. Creative received and processed over 18,000 employee orders while monitoring the website 24/7 for user questions and issues during order period. Once the ordering period concluded Creative produced and received all product in bulk and then packed and ful lled all individual gifts and inserted a thank you card with each employee order. Functionally, in addition to platform features, client asked for us to be able to capture, track and institute address changes and new hires and terminations. Logistics of delivery included 85 locations nationwide as well as over 4,000 home deliveries for remote workforce.

BACKGROUND

Creative has partnered closely with the business services & technology company Impact for over ve years producing countless products and orders on a per inquiry basis. Impact has grown a tremendous amount over these ve years, increasing its location count and employee count signicantly as well as its marketing.

THE CREATIVE SOLUTION

The team partnered to segue this process to an e-commerce webstore portal culminating in the launch of the company store for all employees in 2019. Impact now has a platform both for ordering any time via credit card payment and also for their group bulk purchasing for Spring and Fall Gear via a one-time code for purchasing that will be paid by corporate.

CHALLENGE

With an emphasis on employee engagement, Impact provides its workforce with apparel on a bi-annual basis through Spring and Fall Gear. This process for thousands of pieces had been managed manually with sampling, rendering, order processing and aggregation, and production to delivery. Both parties agreed that there was a clunkiness to the process that could be solved by an online system.

Additionally, the site shows which users have or have not ordered, allowing admins to manage the purchasing rather than trying to work with branch managers who in turn have to manage their employee responses or lack thereof. This feature along with the reporting on a per order/item basis have streamlined internal inquiries and helped optimize the item mix. Impact continues to grow each year, and the e-commerce platform Creative developed and manages is providing much needed order and item/employee management e ciencies.

The client has 150+ locations with thousands of eld employees and recipients of their services. We collaborated on an e-commerce platform that spanned a variety of products for recruiting, employee engagement, client gifts, and o ce items.

During its growth, the client had encountered di culties in recruiting and retaining caregivers as well as o ce sta . They also wanted to standardize and centralize the purchasing to present a uni ed brand message. Knowing these priorities, Creative helped evolve the e-store to serve both employee personal needs as well as dedicating categories to collateral for events, recruiting and retention. Since inception the use of the e-store not only assisted the client in improving its recruiting and retention but also provided consistent branding across the client’s numerous branch o ces.

THE CREATIVE SOLUTION

The client has seen consistent improvements in recruiting and retention since partnering with Creative on the e-store. The client has also won a number of awards and has been named by Forbes as a top workplace. The client has attributed a large part of this success story to the e-store partnership. We are now working together on the next phase of the e-store to provide even more new and exciting services and products for this client.
