CRCNAresearchismaximisingnewa emergingopportunitiesfornorthern Australiansandtacklingthechalleng developmentthroughcontemporary sustainableandresilientinitiatives.

Since2017,theCRCNAhascontinued driveresearchintosectorsthathave potentialinNorthernAustralia,includ FirstNationsenterprises,agriculture, aquaculture,waterdevelopment,and healthservicedelivery.

CRCNA’sresearchde-risksthese industriesinthenorth,whichcanhelp promoteprivateinvestmentanddrive economicdevelopmentacrosstheregion. Icommendtheboardandstaffofthe CRCNAfortheimportantworktheydo, drivingoutcomesforsustainablegrowth inthenorth,creatingjobsandsolving complexdevelopmentchallenges

OverthepastyearI’vehadthepleasureof meetingsomeoftheamazingresearchers thatpartnerwiththeCRCNA.Itrulyadmire theirpassionanddedicationtoapplying scienceandevidencebasedsolutionsto thecriticalnationbuildingtaskof developingthenorth.

Recently,Imetwithresearchersfromthe DarwinAquacultureCentre,whoshared withmetheirbreakthroughsinBlacklip RockOysterhatcheryproduction.

Bygaininginsightsintotheproductionof theseoysters,andprovingtheirfeasibility, forremotepatients.

TheCRCNAisalsoleadingthewayin supportingthetransitiontoanet-zero economy.Theirfocusonsustainabilitypoints toaneconomicdevelopmentagendafor NorthernAustraliathatisaugmentedbyour beautifulanduniquenaturalenvironments.
