YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 15 September 2025

This Week’s Headlines:

It has been a vibrant and rewarding week at school, filled with activities that reflect the spirit, ambition, and strong sense of community at our core.

Over the weekend, we welcomed back our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants. Their return marked the end of a challenging yet rewarding expedition, and I commend their resilience, teamwork, and determination

On Monday, our Year 9 pupils enjoyed a dynamic Team Building Day which provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen friendships, develop leadership, and practise collaboration in new ways. We also celebrated the achievements of our Scholars. Monday’s Sports Scholars Information Evening gave valuable insight into the high standards of the programme, while Wednesday’s Music Scholars’ Tea was a fitting tribute to the talent and dedication of our musical scholars They continue to represent the school with excellence in all they do.

Thursday saw our Year 10 Netball teams competing in a tournament. Their energy, sportsmanship, and commitment were commendable and a real credit to the school.

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome prospective families to our Open Morning this Saturday. These events remind us of the pride we take in our community and the importance of sharing our values with future families. Thank you in advance to all staff and pupils for supporting this important occasion.

Wishing you all a restful weekend

BOARDING NEWS

We had an amazing weekend with the girls! We had a blast at Airhop, went to Mass, and even squeezed in some food shopping Loving the time spent with friends, faith, and fun!

We had a lovely Chapel service this Wednesday to meet Father Charles and have arranged for morning mass on a Tuesday.

Also Mr Jakowbowski gave us some lovely gifts to use in boarding!

YEAR 9 TEAM BUILDING

Year 9 enjoyed some team-building activities this week. It was a great opportunity to get to know one another, learn how to work as a team, and solve puzzles. The sun even held out, so they were able to enjoy it all in lovely weather

YEAR 10 BRONZE D OF E

Last weekend, girls from Year 10 participated in the Bronze DofE. The weekend was filled with fields, challenges, and stormy weather, but Year 10 pushed through and completed it with ease. The girls had fun team building and helping each other whilst on the hike and at camp. Meals were cooked in the morning and evening, and maps and directions were shared with the girls so that they could all help each other. Overall, Year 10 had a magnificent time, and we hope ee them on their Silver DofE

First week of the Autum Term at STE

This week has been the first week of the Autumn Term for the Equestrian Centre and it has got off to a lively start with the horses raring to go and the weather continuing to add an element of surprise There was a beautiful rainbow on Monday just as the lessons began… If it is your child’s first week with us, we hope they have enjoyed meeting the ponies and their lessons. It’s lovely to see our regular riders again as well. Well done on a super first week! If you need to cancel a lesson, please always email equestrian@st-teresas.com.

Please don’t cancel it on the booking system as it can cause issues for the Yard staff.

Equestrian Lunch Club Thursdays 1.30pm-2.25pm

The Equestrian Lunch Club is proving to be extremely popular, with 12 girls attending in the first week Tess, the Centre Manager, spent time with the girls teaching them how to safely approach and interact with the horses

The girls will work towards their ‘Teamwork’ and ‘Resilience’ segments for their Pursuit Award.
