North House
Lent Term 2017 Summer Term 2015 Gosh, we’re tired! It’s been a full-on term, but your lads have been on good form, entertaining us no end with their excuses for their untidy rooms, their lack of washing up capabilities and their inability to take those muddy boots off before entering the House! We hope you all have a lovely holiday and come back refreshed, with lots of named clothes and a full bottle of sun cream because it’s going to be a happy, sunny summer term (we hope!). Love, Jane and Marion xx
This term has been a wonderful term for North House. As a House our effort on the sports pitches and in the classrooms continues to go from strength to strength, and we are beginning to reap the rewards in both fields. It is fantastic to report that the House has won the Soccer Sixes and the Junior Water Polo, and as I write still in with a chance to win the Hockey and Football as well. As a Housemaster I have been so proud in how the boys have supported each other and been true friends to each member of the house. It has been pleasing to see North boys perform in and behind the scenes in Anna Karenina, the West House Play and numerous lunchtime and Helen Wareham concerts, not to forget Cranleigh Live. I have to thank the wonderful team in North who make this place tick; Jane and Marion, the full team of cleaners and of course the tutors. I also want to thank our two deputies; it is with great sadness that we are going to lose Rob Lane and Will Sherrington-Scales at the end of this academic year, and they will be missed by us all. I am pleased that Anna Smuts and George Royall are joining the North team and I know they will add so much. Finally, a huge thank you and well done to the boys. They ultimately make North the place it is and I for one know it to be the best house! I wish you all a wonderful Easter. Alex Forsdike
