In addition to offering a welcoming space for patrons, the restaurant, which is closed every Tuesday, invites local nonprofits and social justice groups like Grand Haven Pride and Progressive Lakeshore to use the space for meetings and public discussion. A volunteer-led nonprofit group has kicked off the public phase of a capital campaign and released renderings of a $4.2 million plan to renovate the historic Sullivan Field on Grand Rapids’ west side.
