Pastoral Care The care and well-being of the international students is the prime focus of the International Student Director ,Mrs Julie McLean. She meets with the students several times each week, organises their health requirements, liaises with Agents, family members, homestay families and the Boarding House, as well as oversees the academic programme for each student. The school philosophy is to ensure that each student has access to guidance and support and is looked after in a personal and caring way. Craighead has a well-recognised history of providing excellent pastoral care, confirmed by the Education Review Office in 2013. All students are met at Christchurch International Airport at the beginning of the year and transfers are organised for return trips home. The 3 week mid-year holidays see most students return home to see family and friends.
