MESSAGES Dear students, As the 2018-19 school year comes to a close, I congratulate you on completion of the year and the many well-deserved achievements and accolades earned this year. I continue to be inspired by your dedication, hard-work, and most importantly, your caring for each other, the College, and our community. This year, you have helped us become more connected to Salt Lake’s community than ever before. I’ve enjoyed watching you host various drives to collect resources for our neighbors, educate the population about medication safety, host community events geared towards improving health, and volunteer in clinics to provide free healthcare to those in need. This philanthropic spirit of community and service differentiates us and enables our school to have exceptional impact. Your service has not gone unnoticed. You can appropriately be proud of the numerous awards this year for your involvement in community outreach, such as the Operation Diabetes National Award, PreOv’s Bench to Bedside Grand Prize, and the Maliheh Free Clinic Legacy of Caring Award. You are not only talented pharmacists and researchers, but caring and community-oriented healthcare providers. It is an honor to follow the success of our college and students, and I look forward to seeing your accomplishments in the years to come. Thank you for your dedication in ensuring the College of Pharmacy continues to excel. I can’t imagine a better group of exemplary individuals to represent our school locally, nationally, and beyond. Randy Peterson Dean, College of Pharmacy
USPA is proud to present the 2018-19 yearbook for the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Throughout the past academic year, our students have demonstrated what it means to be highly compassionate, dedicated healthcare professionals. Through professional development workshops, education sessions, outreach events, fundraisers, and legislative advocacy, our students are working towards improving the lives of their patients and bettering their community. They have dedicated countless hours volunteering and organizing events for fellow students and community members. This yearbook highlights these activities and the impressive accomplishments of our amazing students. Thank you for such a memorable and exciting year!
