Pasigin is about a fisherman trying to catch bangus, shrimps and sugpo with the use of a sibot (fish net), not knowing it has big hole in it. This gives him a difficult time because the fish keeps slipping out of the net. The movements of the girls imitate those of the bangus, shrimps and sugpo, and the boys mimic the fishermen.

PANDANGGO SA ILAW Pandanggo sa Ilaw, which translates as Dance of Lights, is a waltz-style, playful folk dance that showcases a unique fusion of local and western indigenous dance forms. Originating in Lubang Island, Mindoro in the Philippines, it is usually performed during festivities and special occasions.

TINIKLING Tinikling is a traditional Philippine folk dance which originated during the Spanish colonial era. The dance involves two people beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordination with one or more dancers who step over and in between the poles in a dance. It is one of the most recognized and well-known dance in the Philippines.


The dances of the Rural Suite depict the way of life in the Christianized lowlands throughout the Philippines, and are the most well-known and loved of all traditional Philippine dances. These dances are usually performed during the town fiestas or after a good harvest. Typical attire in the Rural Suite include the colorful balintawak and patadyong skirts for the women, and camisa de chino and colored trousers for the men.
