KJCA Leadership Camp Niki Ellis Director of Education, Kentucky Beef Council
The Kentucky Junior Cattlemen’s Association hosted a modified Leadership Camp for 20 junior members. The camp is geared for members ages 13-21 to grow beef industry knowledge, network with other beef cattle enthusiasts and have fun. This year the University of Kentucky Department of Animal and Food Science hosted our junior members with a great all day agenda. Members were welcomed by the college ambassadors, heard from multiple animal science staff, toured the meats lab, and had immersive demonstrations at the beef and sheep units. KJCA would like to thank department chair Dr. Richard Coffey for putting together a great day for our camp as well as all of the university employees involved in the agenda.
