In her Newport and Freshwater studios, Alicia Grabowski has cracked the code for personalised training and her intimate pilates classes are delivering winning results for all! When Alicia Grabowski opened her boutique studio, Alicia Pilates, in Freshwater in March 2021, no one knew a Covid lockdown was just around the corner. “We opened the doors to our Freshie studio in March, and Sydney went into lockdown in June,” she says. “Twelve months later, we have over 100 clients in Freshwater and our Newport studio is stronger than ever.” Following two years of uncertainty and change, it’s safe to say people are now looking for safer ways to exercise. “There’s definitely a shift happening,” says Alicia. “I see it with many of my clients. I think we survived Covid because more people are seeking smaller classes, clean spaces, and intimate personalised service. We run classes with groups of four as a maximum.” Add easy access and great results, and you’re definitely onto a winner. And there is a wide variety of clientele coming in for the full AP experience. “Valentine’s Day was really successful - we saw lots of couples coming in to do reformer. It’s intimate and they’re challenging each other, spinning off each other, looking sexy, and getting strong together.” Alicia’s next big offer is Mother’s Day, and there are already plenty of mother-daughter duos coming in as well as men.
“I’ve been attending Alicia Pilates for approximately 6 months, and I absolutely love it. I love the personalisation of each session. The exercises are multi-layered, do-able and they allow me to focus on my strength and breathing. I have found my posture has improved and I’m feeling stronger,” MEL.
